December long weekend 2026 in Spain: where to party each night

Spain’s December long weekend (“puente de diciembre”) is one of the best weekends of the year to go out: lots of people are off work, Christmas parties begin and the nights before a bank holiday work like a Saturday. Here’s which days are holidays in 2026, the best nights and which clubs open in each city.

Bank holidays in 2026

  • Sunday 6 December: Constitution Day. As it falls on a Sunday, in Madrid and Andalusia the holiday moves to Monday 7.
  • Tuesday 8 December: Immaculate Conception, a holiday across Spain.
  • Result: Madrid and Seville get a four-day weekend, Saturday 5 to Tuesday 8. In Barcelona, Valencia and Mallorca Monday 7 is a working day, although many people take it off.

The best nights to go out

  • Friday 4 and Saturday 5: the biggest nights; almost everything is open and VIP tables fill up.
  • Sunday 6 (Madrid and Seville): the night before a holiday, so it feels like a Saturday.
  • Monday 7: the night before the 8th everywhere; the last night of the long weekend.
  • Afternoon parties: Sunday and Monday afternoons are perfect if you don’t want a late night.

Madrid

On Saturday almost everything opens: big venues like Joy Eslava, Calle Orense with Nazca Club, Blue Club or Posh, and the Salamanca clubs such as Saint Club.

On Sunday and Monday, the nights before the holidays, Tiffany’s, Fitz and Manamá usually open, plus Nazca and Vandido on Sunday. Check each day in open on Sunday and open on Monday.

Seville

Koko Club, in the centre, is open every day of the year, so it’s the safe bet for Sunday and Monday. At the weekend you also have Antique Theatro, Abril and the Viapol area. See what’s on each night in clubs open tonight in Seville.

Barcelona and Valencia

In Barcelona, Ku Barcelona opens every night, including Monday 7. In Valencia, Indiana opens on the nights before holidays, and at the weekend there’s Havana, Tulum and the afternoon party at Mucho.

Tips for the long weekend

  • Book Saturday early: it’s the night with the most demand and tables sell out.
  • Check before going on Sunday and Monday: opening times change on holidays. Message us and we’ll tell you what’s open.
  • Use the guest lists: on the nights before holidays they usually have good conditions if you arrive before the cut-off time.
  • Bring your original ID or passport and check each club’s dress code.

And then, Christmas and New Year’s Eve

The long weekend kicks off the season of company Christmas parties and bookings for New Year’s Eve 2026. If you already know where you want to celebrate on the 31st, book it now before prices go up.
