Halloween in Madrid: club parties and how to book
Halloween has become one of the liveliest nights of the year in Madrid. In 2026, 31 October falls on a Saturday, so the party starts on Friday 30 and many clubs throw themed parties both nights. Here’s how to plan it, what to know about costumes and how to secure your ticket or VIP table.

Friday 30 or Saturday 31: which night to choose
- Saturday 31 October: the main night. Most clubs throw their Halloween party that night, and VIP tables sell out first.
- Friday 30 October: many clubs also celebrate Halloween, with slightly less demand. A good option if you want more availability.
If you want to go out both nights, book Saturday first — it’s the one that fills up fastest.
Costumes: what to know at the door
Every club has its own rules, and on Halloween it’s worth checking them first:
- Masks and covered faces: door staff need to check your ID, so they may ask you to take your mask off. Make-up is more practical than full masks.
- Props: avoid anything that could look dangerous (toy guns, fake knives, tridents). Clubs often won’t let you in with them.
- Dress code: at clubs with a smart dress code, costumes are usually optional — dressing smart with a Halloween detail goes down better.
- Comfort: you’ll be on your feet and dancing for hours, so pick a costume you can move in.
Not sure whether your costume is OK at a particular club? Ask us first.
Tickets and VIP tables for Halloween
As with any special night, your best bet is an advance ticket or booking a table early. Some clubs keep guest lists, but they usually have a cut-off time and limited places. At the door, if there are tickets left, they’re usually more expensive.
For groups, a VIP table is the best option: your own area for the whole group — very welcome on Halloween, when clubs get packed.

Tips for the night
- Book at least one or two weeks ahead, especially for Saturday.
- Bring your original passport, national ID card or driving licence. You must be 18 or over.
- Leave your coat in the cloakroom: by late October, Madrid nights are already chilly.
- Plan your way home: the Metro closes around 1:30 am and there’s huge demand for taxis that night.
