New Year’s Eve 2026 in Spain’s clubs: how to choose a party and book
New Year’s Eve is the biggest night of the year in Spain’s clubs: almost every venue throws a special party, tickets cost more than on a normal night and the best tables sell out weeks ahead. Here’s how it works, what it costs and which parties are already on sale in each city — in English, so you don’t end up without a plan.

New Year’s Eve 2026: the basics
- Date: 31 December 2026 is a Thursday and 1 January is a bank holiday, so the party usually runs all weekend.
- Times: clubs open after the midnight bells, usually between 00:00 and 01:00, and close between 05:30 and 07:00.
- Afternoon parties: some venues also party on the afternoon of the 31st — ideal if you want to celebrate before dinner.
- Price: New Year’s Eve tickets are special and go up in stages as the date gets closer.
Spanish tradition: at midnight everyone eats 12 grapes, one for each chime of the clock. Most people do it at home or in the main square, then head out to the clubs.
Which ticket to choose
- Ticket with drinks: the most common option. Includes one or two drinks and is the cheapest.
- Open bar: pay once and drink all night. Worth it if you’re staying until closing.
- VIP table: for groups. Includes a table and bottles, no queues and your own spot all night. The first thing to sell out.
- New Year’s Eve afternoon party: earlier and cheaper, for those who like to start early.
