Where to go out in Madrid every night of the week
In Madrid you can go out almost any night of the week, but every night has its own vibe. Here’s what to expect each day so you can choose the right plan.

Opening days, times and parties change with the season and each venue. Before you go, message us and we’ll confirm which clubs are open that night.

Monday to Wednesday: fewer options, but they exist
These are the quietest nights. Fewer clubs open, and they’re usually specific parties, often aimed at students or international crowds. Tiffany’s, FITZ and Manamá are open every night of the week. On Wednesdays you can also go to Vandido in the Salamanca district, with a free guest list until 1:30, or Nazca Club in the Calle Orense area.
Thursday: student night
Thursday is the big student night in Madrid. The Moncloa, Argüelles and Chamberí area fills up, with clubs like Mon, a Thursday classic, and others nearby such as Copérnico or Cats.
It’s a good night to use guest lists: they usually have good deals if you arrive before the cut-off time. More tips in our Erasmus & student nightlife guide.
Friday and Saturday: everything’s open
At the weekend almost every club opens and you have the most choice:
- Upmarket night: the clubs in Salamanca and Recoletos, like Saint Club or Vandido.
- Big venue in the centre: Joy Eslava.
- Several clubs in the same area: Calle Orense, with Nazca Club, Blue Club, Posh Club and Etnia Club.
This is when VIP tables fill up and door prices go up most, so buy your ticket or book in advance.
Sunday: “tardeo” day
A “tardeo” is a party that starts in the afternoon and finishes early — the perfect weekend plan if you don’t want a late night. If you’d rather have one before the weekend, Ya Tengo Plan runs exclusive afternoon parties (23+) from Thursday to Saturday from 18:00, at different venues around Madrid.
Quick summary

A typical night out in Madrid
If you’re visiting, you’ll be surprised how late Madrid goes out. A typical Friday or Saturday looks like this:
- 21:00–22:30: dinner.
- 23:00–1:00: drinks at a bar or terrace.
- From 1:00: the club. This is when they start to fill up.
- 5:00–6:00: most clubs close.
If you’re on a guest list, remember it usually has a cut-off time, so arrive earlier.

Getting around Madrid at night
The Madrid Metro closes around 1:30 am and reopens early in the morning. To get back late at night you can use night buses (“búhos”), taxis or ride-hailing apps. In a group, sharing a taxi is usually the easiest and cheapest option.
