Bachelor and bachelorette parties in Madrid: how to plan one at a club

Madrid is one of Europe’s favourite destinations for bachelor and bachelorette parties (stag and hen dos): lots of choice, a great atmosphere and plans for every style. If you want to end the night at a club, here’s everything you need to know to plan it with no surprises.

VIP table: the best option for a stag or hen party

On a bachelor or bachelorette party, what matters is keeping the whole group together. That’s why we recommend a VIP table: your own area with bottles included, so you don’t have to fight for space on the dance floor. On a tighter budget, a group guest list also works, as long as you arrive before the cut-off time.

Which club to choose

• Big party and a large group: spacious central venues like Joy Eslava.
• A more elegant party: clubs in Salamanca such as Saint Club or Vandido, with a smart dress code.
• Club-hopping without walking far: Calle Orense, with Nazca Club, Blue Club, Posh Club and Etnia Club a few metres apart.
• In summer: open-air plans like Mokai Beach Club or the summer nights at Hipódromo de la Zarzuela.

A complete stag or hen night in Madrid

Most of the parties we organise follow a similar plan that works really well for groups:

• Afternoon: an activity or daytime plan (a “tardeo” afternoon party, a terrace or whatever the group chooses).
• 21:30–22:00: group dinner. Tell us where you’re eating and we’ll recommend a club nearby.
• 23:30–1:00: drinks and arrival at the club. If you’re on a guest list, arrive before the cut-off time.
• From 1:00: VIP table at the club until closing.

How much does a stag or hen party at a club cost?

It depends on the number of people, the day and the club. The most common option is a VIP table: you pay for the table and bottles, and split between the group it often works out cheaper than everyone paying for their own ticket and drinks. On a tight budget, a group guest list is the cheapest option. Tell us how many of you there are and how much you want to spend, and we’ll send you options at a fixed price.

Tips so everything goes smoothly

• Book early: stag and hen parties are usually on Fridays or Saturdays, when VIP tables fill up fastest.
• Ask about costumes and props: every club has its own rules — some allow sashes, crowns or custom T-shirts and others don’t. Ask us before you buy them.
• Dress code for the whole group: if the club asks for smart dress, everyone has to follow it.
• ID: original passport, national ID card or driving licence. You must be 18 or over, and some clubs ask for older.
• One organiser: have one person handle the booking and talk to us — it makes everything easier.
• Coming from abroad or another city? Choose a club near your accommodation so getting back is easy.
• Arrive together: a big group arriving at once with the booking under one name gets in much faster.
