Afternoon parties and afterwork in Madrid (“tardeo”)

Not everyone wants to go out at 2 am. The tardeo (a party that starts in the afternoon) and the afterwork (drinks and music after work) are more and more popular in Madrid: start early, dance just as much and get home at a sensible time. These are the venues we work with that open before the usual clubs.

What is “tardeo” and how does it work

  • It starts between 6 pm and 9 pm, while regular clubs are still closed.
  • The vibe builds gradually: drinks and music first, and by 9–10 pm it’s a party.
  • The crowd is often a bit older: some venues ask for 22 or 23+.
  • Many have a guest list with an early cut-off time, so arrive early.

  • Ya Tengo Plan: afternoon parties Thursday to Saturday from 6 pm at different venues around the city, with reggaeton and commercial music. Exclusive vibe, minimum age 23 and smart dress code. Free guest list until a cut-off time that varies by day.
  • Green: at Paseo de la Castellana 40, open Thursday to Saturday from 6 pm to 6 am, so you can start in the afternoon and stay all night. Minimum age 22, casual dress code and free guest list all night.

  • Kube: in Azca, next to the Bernabéu, Thursday to Saturday from 8 pm to 3 am, with a student crowd and free guest list until 10 pm.

Afternoon or night? It depends on your plan

  • After work or on a weeknight: Marabú or Kube, both open at 8 pm.
  • An afternoon that turns into a night: Green, open from 6 pm to 6 am.
  • An older, smarter crowd: Ya Tengo Plan (23+).
  • Start early and move on to a club: Dekada in Malasaña, then a club in the city centre.

Tips

  • On a guest list, the cut-off time is much earlier than at a club: arrive in good time.
  • Check the minimum age: at some venues it’s 22 or 23.
  • For birthdays or company groups, ask for a VIP table: there’s more availability at these hours.
  • Bring original ID: it’s checked in the afternoon too.
